(site still under construction)

welcome.
Hello and welcome to my website. I initially created this website as a place for people to visit in order to find out a little more about me, my views, aspirations and more generally where I am in life. Any comments or feedback? Feel free to leave them on my blog page.
A little background.
My higher educational history started in 1994 where I attended my first university in Preston. It was there i was an aspiring linguist studying French. I'd always had a love of French from being young and it soon became apparent that I had a flair for recognizing patterns and grammatical rules. I still keep my hand in by way of a french speaking friend and often when time permits, delve into a little literature, currently Manon des sources.
Java the O-O approach
Learning Java at my second university in Huddersfield whilst on the BSc Computing course, was the catalyst to my current self-development and has shaped my career goals and aspirations. I started with core Java and Jsp/servlets, but really gained direction when I chose to re-implement a system in Spring's Inversion Of Control container(IoC). It came with a steep learning curve initially but enabled me to write more robust code thanks to Spring's clear seperation of concerns and the way in which components are managed declaratively. Post university I've done alot of further reading which has helped me gain an invaluable insight into different ways of both writing and testing software.
